At 10 years old, I was afraid to ring up customers in my immigrant parents’ convenience store. Years later, I became the first MBA in my family, specializing in entrepreneurship and strategy.

I grew up behind the counter, watching my parents navigate the daily grind of business with limited resources and unlimited resilience. That’s where I first learned how hard—and how stressful—business really is.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve scaled startups from zero, led enterprise sales and enablement at Microsoft, and even sold medical services door-to-door in 114-degree Texas heat—in a suit and tie. I’ve been the first hire, the co-founder, the strategist, the seller, and the coach. I’ve also run a nonprofit and had to let go of a tenured “stick-in-the-mud.”

I care deeply about personal growth—I’ve written 60,000 words of a book to help young people avoid the mistakes I made. At one point, I bet on myself, sold everything I owned, and started over from scratch with nothing but courage. I’ve taken 3 a.m. calls and walked founders through the scariest decisions of their lives.

I’ve lived nearly every phase of business and life with dirt under my nails and sweat under my collar. And through it all, I’ve learned that clarity, alignment, and sincerity move companies and people forward.

That’s why I guide. Because I know what it’s like to start with nothing, to lose it all, to not know what to do next—and to find your way back.
